Former Red Bull chief Horner Reportedly Getting in Touch with Multiple Formula 1 Team Principals
Previous Red Bull chief Christian Horner is allegedly "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he pursues a re-entry to grand prix racing, per Aston Martin chief executive officer Andy Cowell.
The Silverstone-based squad is included in the squads that are associated with the former chief.
The team executive stated he had verified the circumstances with team principal Lawrence Stroll this past Friday at the Singapore GP.
"It looks as though Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," stated the executive.
"I can definitively state there are no plans for the participation of Christian in an management or financial position in the future."
Additional Squads Comment
Haas chief Ayao Komatsu stated that the former Red Bull leader had "reached out to" the Stateside organization but continued: "Nothing has gone any further. It's over."
The French manufacturer executive director Steve Nielsen mentioned the squad's senior consultant and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with the former principal.
The Alpine director commented: "I don't know what they discuss. What I understand is there are no arrangements for Christian to come to Alpine but that doesn't mean it might not transpire."
The historic British team boss James Vowles stated that the ex-chief had not contacted them.
"We're content with the setup we have and it's functioning," the team principal said. "I see no justification to change from that."
Historical Information
The former team principal is eligible to rejoin Formula 1 by the mid-next season after completing a departure deal with his former team on 22 September.
The veteran motorsport figure was dismissed as the team's leader after the Silverstone race in the month of July.
Several informants at Red Bull have indicated the agreement deal was valued at €60 million (52 million pounds).
